So far, the Care Bears have planned
out the contents of their care bags, and are working on ways to purchase or receive
donations of the care bag items themselves. The Care Bear members have put up
collection bins, are in the process of asking Target about a sponsorship, are
planning on holding a night at one of the local restaurants in their community
where a percentage of the bill goes to their project. They have accomplished
getting their local elementary schools involved and with students making a
cheerful pieces of artwork with something inspiring written on, and cards of
hope, sure to brighten the day of those who receive a care bags from the Care
Bears group. I know one thing for sure, the Care Bears have brightened my day,
just by seeing their caring works in action. Keep up the great work, Care Bears, and perhaps in
the future we may hear of you joining the Comfort Socks family of sock
collectors.

Comfort Socks and the Care Bears Connect
Say hello to our newest
friends, the Care Bears. The Care Bears is a group of five 7th grade students
from San Diego, CA. As part of their humanities school project, these
fine young people have chosen to help the homeless in Downtown San Diego by
providing them with care packages. Back in Feb, the group contacted Comfort
Socks with some questions – and after a few email exchanges – it became clear
to me that the heart of these young people will be a great comfort to those
they touch. And it is the desire of Comfort Socks to show the world what some
effort with good-spirited heart can do. We are grateful to know the Care Bears and
appreciate that they have let us share their story with our Comfort Socks family.

Comfort Socks Needs You and Believes in You
Dear Comfort Socks Family,
Comfort Socks has received so many requests for socks. More than ever before - But we are not discouraged, we are confident in our supporters - we believe in You.
Ask yourself, How many pairs of socks do I have? Imagine if the answer was not even one pair. Please, do what you can to send socks our way - if each supporter gave just one 6 pack of socks (about 5 bucks)- we would be able to provide the comfort of warm, dry socks to more people than ever before.
As you plan for Thanksgiving and Christmas - and appreciate the blessings in your own life, please remember what a great blessing you can be to others.
From the 20,000 plus people we have already helped in the past, please accept a warm thank you with gratitude.
On a personal note, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all you have done and will do in the future, to keep Comfort Socks growing and helping those without a home.

Comfort Socks and SOLE join hands - or should we say 'Feet"
Comfort Socks is proud to welcome SOLE as a sock donor to our cause. We happily received over 400 pairs of these durable, supportive, breathable, and very soft and comfy socks to be enjoyed by the homeless men of America we serve. Here is a bit about SOLE.
SOLE is a Canadian-based company established in 2000, with the launch of our first Custom Footbed. Our goal was to develop a superior footbed, at a price anyone could afford. We looked at products on the market from $350 custom orthotics to generic cushioning insoles. By rethinking the manufacturing process we brought together the very best technical elements to encourage balance, stability, alignment, proper weight distribution and a custom fit. Since then, we've introduced 7 additional footbeds, performance-based socks, and an outstanding line-up of orthopedic sandals.
